Chill Pill

There is a disturbance in your body,
ripples of restlessness ,
made by a hundred thousand stones,
in a pond of possibility.

there is so much to see,
so much to learn,
so much to think,
in just eye's blink.

its kind of window shopping,
no money with you,
hopping and hopping,
till you turn blue.

think for a second,
what do the stones do,
what happens to the pond,
and what happens to the mind.

How am I into Design?

Design.
What is it? Who is a designer? Who is not a designer?....
There are innumerable questions and there innumerable+1 solutions on the internet.

Design for me is creativity on a purpose.
The creative ideas , your artistic nature , blend into a solution for a purpose.

It is a choice I have made by exploring the various fields that use creativity and do some great stuff for people to use, learn , or simply make their life easy.

I spent lot of months learning about advertising , applied arts however I was introduced to the whole lot of possibilities in Design.

Design is art + science.

From childhood I was interested in exploring artifacts it may be that old radio, or vacuum cleaner. To see whats inside , to see how it works.

Believe me computer machine is amazing. Games, music , softwares etc.

Photoshop was the tool for me to replace "heads" of people , morph images, travel all over the world.

After few years I started writing copy for my visuals to make Ads. Meaningful?
Yeah! Then it got improved and appreciated and a good opportunity changed it all!

www.dzineduo.com (my start up!) and freelance works glued me to advertising and design lately!

Of course there are lot of people behind this, their encouragement and support is the key ingredient without which I would not have discovered my life!

Today I am proud to be in World's Top 30 D-schools (www.nid.edu) and India's No.1 to realize design dreams.

Lets see how it goes!

For Youngsters in the economic crisis

  1. This is the right time for young professionals to go on a financial diet, preparing a routine prescription for a healthy life for the times ahead.
  2. “If you are paying too many EMIs on account of impulsive purchases, foreign tours and housing, first write off the liability breaking your fixed deposits or emptying your savings accounts,”
  3. total amount of EMIs should not exceed 40 per cent of a two-member family’s net monthly income. In absence of home loan EMI, it must not exceed 20-25 per cent.

he swapped this for portable barbeque.

he swapped this for a portable generator

he swapped this for an instant party pack and keg of beer.

he swapped this for a snow mobile.

he swapped this for a trip to british columbia.

he swapped this for a truck.

he swapped this for a recording contract.

Ad finally he swapped this for a house in Phoenix, Colorado.

Dr.Q

Please read the previous post from Sri before going through this story.

I have read story about Dr.Q in a recent Reader's Digest. It is an epitome for human success just as Obama's or any of the great leaders and businessmen.

At the age of 18 or so he was an illegal entrant into US from the Mexican border.

Making the national currency invalid made this young boy get attracted to US. He started working in a farm plucking tomatoes. But his only dream of learning english and get US citizenship made him go to school. Take part time courses at local college.

His zeal to earn more made him learn extra skills in farming.

Later he could afford his education in Berkely college and his hardwork fetched him good grades too. Mind it , he still used to work in Railways and in Farm.

With an advice from his professor he applied for Harvard Medical and guess what?

In 10 years he could raise from an illiterate farmer to World's best Brain Surgeon treating tumours.

He says " i still pluck red tomatoes through bloody veins and its amazing"

Almost a year gone without post

what the fish... try to blog more frequently monk.

and i like to jot down something on making money and making life.

when everyone is greedy be fearful.. when everyone is fearful be greedy .. by warren bufffet.

i did some 3000$ investment in some US stocks on brink of resession . time will tell how true is mr buffet is.

i always belive in the concept that men tend to overestimate what they can achieve in a year and underestimate what they can do in a decade.

so invest now and invest now ... see what u get in 10 years. i wish my friend in 20's who read this blog do that and i am sure u will thank me one day.

not only investment .. in career also .. when you see what u want to be in 10 years.... however big...just start now and see how it turns to reality.

if you do what you are doing for the next 20 years , u will be the one of the best in the country.

a huge shot in the arm....barack obama presidency ... a black kenyan father and poor mom , poor grandparets..who live on foodstamps in hawai, in a country where he is of minority 10% of population ..... and the 44 th president of america. just see what can happen with perseverence over time. ....imagine what human can acieve with time. no limits.

lets see what we can be in 40 years. I actally remember you asking to respond to your blog....see i am doing a year later....a 100 could have beome 130 meanwhile.time just fly.

Money

never came the need ,
donno how it used to come,
coz dad was there to feed,
kinda happy home.

friends had it,
never cared,
i could get it,
never dared.

as i grew,
needed some ,
though it was new,
had to take from mom.

Little was enough,
as we shared,
with friends though,
tightly paired.

Now I have,
on my own,
but couldnt save,
and Iam down.

Realization!

"Although we have our family, friends, relatives by nature's way we are generally seperated from one another. The reason for this is that every living entity appears on this Earth under different pressures of fruitive activities. Although they assemble together, there is no certainity of their remaining together for a long time." - Gita.

So true!

Like the creepers which are formed together on river waters, move to different sides with the currents. They meet again after sometime or may never meet.

Today, I felt that the love, I have for my family, friends and relatives is true and really care them and hope God showers His blessings over them.
I need not be meeting them daily.
Infact I never meet few of my friends.
I may not call them at all.
But it doesnt mean that I illtreat them or neglect them.
Iam not omnipresent. I may be engagued in something which I feel important or which gives me happiness.

Its better rather than being with them and neglecting their presence, ill treating them and spoiling the real meaning of love or friendship.
I believe we should never take one's feelings for granted or override their opinions.
Everybody is equal!

Why?

Why this life b'comin hell..
Why jailin me in a shell..

Why it made me static..
Why everythin became hectic..

Why in me , this antipathy...
Donno whom shall I ask, Why?

Why my freedom is at stake?
When I haven't done any mistake..

Is this a deadly caveat?
Don't mind i wanna break out..

Am I goin to fail?
Still my ship is goin to sail...

Let the perilous storm take over..
Iam gonna sail forever and ever...

The Road Less Taken!

Why do we crave for some opportunity and when it is right in front of us, we try to ignore it. Why we find reasons to postpone it, why we see the negatives , why we FEAR ?
Today I have encountered the same situation.
I have a long list of wishes or " I want to"s, each as diverse as possible from others.
I have argued many a times that having a broad list is good, as you have better reasons to live life to the fullest and you may get hit with the tangible path to your dream at any point of time.

Today , I have got an option to take a different path in my career.I felt it was the best interview i gave as i had to tell my interests and what i have done with interest all these years. Gladly I have been selected for the role.

But, why do I think there is much time to do these things in life. Why do I think its not my cup of tea? Why do I think the path is not going to take me high? Why?

Is it because I am afraid of taking risk? Is it because I feel insecure? Is it because i FEAR?

Well I shouldnt be after reading the chapter Six Ghosts Of Fear from Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.

Remember, Life is too short to be on routine and Life is too long to make mistakes and learn from them.

So I have decided to see the option positively, work double harder, reach my goals quicker. If its the worst mistake I have ever done. So What? I have a long life ahead of me to correct myself and go on.
A life spent making mistakes is more honourable than a life spent doing nothing.

I have decide to go on the ROAD LESS TAKEN!
Lets see!

Is Man Wise?

My amateur attempt during my adolescence ...

Is Man Wise?

Till man was born,
we had generations of life,
it was upto ape,it was upto corn,
everybody was happy,everything was safe.

The day he started thinking,
He gained knowledge,
stars of intelligence were twinkling,
He invented wheel and sledge.

He moved from place to place,
He lived in groups,in caves,
He recognized face and race,
He started making slaves.

Quarrels for lands,
killed the innocent,
with evil shook his hands,
for destruction huge amount was spent.

Alas! what a fate?
result was world war ,
Countries realized,but too late,
Ecobalance was out of bar.

Through this, man made a big injury,
to the environment,
and the nature has shown its fury,
there were floods and there was drought.

So, Earth is not your playground,
It is home creatures of all size,
Before you do anything , please look around,
Everybody please be wise , wise and wise!

Tough Transition

Transition is painful, many a times. Not very recently I have realized the importance of having value for your word, your own individuality, your aura in a group and the negative impact of pretentions. I was helpless. How can I gain them? The house iam living is having foundation called "submissivenss", with walls called " complacency" and roof called "good guy image". It was built through many years. The foundation was made strong by the little events of my early childhood , the way i was raised, the way my mind percieved the relations and happenings in my circle. Recently I have read that the first 5 years of child decide his next 60 years of life.

Submissiveness, is not taking responcibility, is seeing yourself incapable, is a smooth criminal!!
Adds to it the complacent nature, seeing positive in your incapability, ameliorating your cowardliness. The root cause is the "good guy syndrome", presenting your softer side to the world suppressing your emotions, your individuality and the worst part is that you wouldnot be aware of it.

The critical part of my transition is the awareness. Iam happy that my life gave me a divine oppurtunity in the form of love, to be sentient. Many a situations have become tough for me to deal. The reason was in camaflouge. An infinite "WHY's" helped me find an answer called "Submissiveness".

Then followed an infinite "How's". I was depressed. I couldnt find an answer, within my self. How would I? My faculty of thought, my intuition was all based on my childhood experiences. I have asked my friends, I have read books and articles. To develop "Assertiveness".
tips given by my friends:
1) Be a decision maker.
2) Ask for opinions on your say.
3)Take the blame.
4)Being straight with someone doesnt mean disrespecting him, but is respecting yourself.
Now all that required is putting them in practice.

Transition is indeed tough!

root cause analysis

I have been observing people, around me since ages. There are guys working hard as the summer ants, also there are guys like the aesop's grasshopper during my school days. I used to be the one belonging to a new sect where timely work and little exercise to my memory could safely leave me on my destination. It was enough as a cover to firing parental army.It was enough to be in same boat of my fellow toppers. I enjoyed, each year after year, I could get the subject , could get the knowledge, could clear the memory tests.

Iam 23 now, suddenly i feel so low about me, while comparing myself with my favourite idols in different fields. What is there with them to achieve so early? Is the question i had been thinking all the time. Thought, clarity of our goal is important. One should know his capabilities , was the suggestion given by my mind. Day after day passed like a tragedy movie. It was the time i hit two amazing books

1.Kane and Abel

2.Think and grow Rich.

They gave me a sense of direction.A long vision of my goal. But Goals should be smart.

Specific,Measurable,....timed.

I have set up few goals. Iam at the edge of 23, I realized Goals are not enough, something else is more important. I did the root cause analysis. It was not knowldege, not luck, not vague hardwork. It is discipline, it is the sincerity towards our work. Well its a habit to be cultivated when you are a kid. Its easy to train your mind then. But who says you are not a kid at 23, learn, learn new, there is no age for learning.

One thing is for sure, there is no short cut to success. Success is a process, not a result.
